Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Makes its Way Through Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics came through town today and, as always, the Ridgewood Police Department members were excited to join. Sgt. Anthony Mormino, Officer Hector Perez, Officer Zack Knudnsen, and Parking Officer Ben Ritter represented us as the torch made it’s way through Ridgewood. The torch is carried 750 miles each year as a way to raise money for and show our support for the athletes of the NJ Special Olympics.

Ridgewood Police Officers Run the NYC Marathon

Ridgewood NJ, the 2022 New York City Marathon took place on Sunday, November 6. The race returned to full capacity for the first time since 2019 with 47,839 total finishers. Amongst them were Ridgewood Police  Lt. Peter Bolten, Officer Colin Donnelly, and Officer Hector Perez . Congratulations for running and completing the NYC Marathon yesterday and Lt. Bolten who ran for Tackle Kid’s Cancer while Officer Perez ran in honor of Cole McKeon.
