Paramus NJ, looks like Ridgewood is not the only town to deal with a disorderly goat. In the second in our series of “Goats of Bergen” the Ridgewood blog has learned that in 2015 the Paramus Police Department responded to calls of a disorderly goat headbutting a door in the Beech Lane area of town. Officers captured the goat who was located running in the roadway. The goat is pictured with Paramus Officer Jonathan Henderson. Assisting in the capture were Officers Christian Tsentas and Steve Nepola. The goat was turned over to Tyco Animal Control. Paramus NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of CHRISTOPHER GIORDANO, also known as COURTNEY BREESE, (DOB: 06/10/1988; single; employed as a marketing manager) of 496 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey on charges of Theft By Deception and Falsifying Records. The arrest is the result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Moonachie Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Behrens.
In July 2017, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received information from the Moonachie Police Department of an alleged theft in an amount greater than $150,000.00 from a restaurant based in Teterboro.
Paramus NJ, No injuries were reported following a two (2) vehicle crash on Route 17 southbound in Paramus that sent a Subaru SUV sliding into a nearby storefront on Tuesday afternoon, 02/12.. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Paramus Police handled the crash report.
Paramus NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of ALFREDO RAMOS (DOB: 07/19/1980; single; self-employed as an attorney) of 102 Belmont Avenue, Garfield, NJ on additional charges of Misapplication Of Entrusted Funds and Unauthorized Practice Of Law. RAMOS was previously arrested on December 18, 2018 by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and charged with one count of Misapplication Of Entrusted Funds. The new arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
In January 2019, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit received complaints from two clients of Alfredo RAMOS, Esq., regarding his failure to disburse to them over $90,000.00 each, which RAMOS had received in trust as the result of two real estate transactions.
Paramus NJ, Paramus Police and Paramus EMS units rushed to aid the driver of a passenger car who experienced a serious medical episode after he exited his vehicle on Paramus Road near Bergen Community College in Paramus. The victim had stopped to check an unsecured rear hatch, fell to the pavement and rolled under the vehicle’s chassis as the episode was occurring. He was transported to Hackensack University Center’s main campus by a Paramus EMS ambulance. A portion of northbound Paramus Road was closed while emergency crews worked at the scene.
NEWARK, N.J. – An Essex County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 252 months in prison for robbing 14 hotels in New Jersey and New York, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced today.
Tremone Burnett, 46, of Orange, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Katharine S. Hayden in Newark federal court on Sept. 12, 2018, to two counts of an indictment charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit robbery and threaten physical violence, and one count of using a firearm during a crime of violence. Judge Hayden imposed the sentence today in Newark federal court.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
From April 24, 2014, through June 19, 2014, Burnett robbed 12 New Jersey hotels and two New York hotels at gunpoint. The New Jersey hotels were located in Carteret, Lebanon, Newark, Rockaway, Secaucus, Avenel, Parsippany, Paramus, Weehawken, and Edison; the New York hotels were located in Airmont and Nanuet. In each robbery, Burnett wielded a handgun and, in some instances, tied the victim’s hands and feet. During one of the robberies, Burnett discharged his firearm.
In addition to the prison term, Judge Hayden sentenced Burnett to five years of supervised release.

Ehrie in Newark; the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Acting Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II; and the Newark Department of Public Safety, under the direction of Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, with the investigation leading to today’s guilty plea. He also thanked the Carteret, Edison, Lebanon, Rockaway, Parsippany, Weehawken and Woodbridge Township police departments in New Jersey; the Clarkstown and Ramapo police departments in New York; the N.J. State Police; and the Bergen County, Hunterdon County, Middlesex County, and Morris County prosecutors’ offices for their work on this case.
Paramus NJ, if you noticed a large police presence in the malls over the weekend according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office this past weekend, RDT was on duty. Rapid Deployment Team will be at area malls sporadically to enhance security throughout the holiday season.
Paramus NJ, No injuries were reported following the crash of a 4-door sedan into the storefront of Capitol Lighting, 75 Route 17 North, Paramus on Tuesday evening, 11/27. According to Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg, who was on the scene, the sedan’s adult female driver lost control of her vehicle while attempting to make a U turn in the parking lot. The crash impact caused moderate damage to the building’s façade and scattered several lighting fixtures about a small area of the store’s interior. A Borough of Paramus building inspector was summoned to evaluate the structure’s integrity. The damaged vehicle was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Paramus NJ, At least three (3) individuals were transported to local hospitals following a Monday morning two (2) vehicle crash in the rear of Steven Corn Furs, 358 Route 17 North, Paramus. One (1) of the vehicles involved, at Toyota RAV4, slammed into the rear of the fur store. Three (3) ambulances and one (1) paramedic unit responded to aid the victims. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Paramus Police is investigating the incident.
Paramus NJ, No injuries were reported following an early Monday afternoon, 11/05, rollover crash on Paramus Road, Paramus near Route 4. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Department responded to the incident. A heavy duty wrecker was required to hoist the vehicle from its post crash resting place at the bottom of a roadside embankment. Police at the scene did not say whether any summonses were issued to the vehicle’s adult male driver.

Paramus NJ, according to Paramus Police a driver struck two Paramus High School cross country runners knocking them to the ground and fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a red SUV . The collision happened at around 4:30pm at the intersection of Haase Avenue and Spring Valley Road . The runners returned to Paramus High School and recounted the incident to the school principal
