Ridgewood NJ, NJ TRANSIT is continuing its efforts to make public transit more accessible and responsive with the launch of a pilot program of NaviLens technology in New Brunswick.  The NaviLens technology uses special QR-style codes to enable customers to use their smart devices at NJ TRANSIT bus stops to get a host of service information and assistance in the palm of their hands. NaviLens integrates NJ TRANSIT data in real-time so customers can determine when the next bus will arrive at their location.  The technology also provides visually impaired customers with directional wayfinding and audio information.  The color coded QR-style codes can be read by devices 12 times farther away than traditional QR codes so visually impaired customers don’t need to know the exact placement of the signage at the bus stop.

  • Interactive map included showing which workers across America are most against a return to office work.

Ridgewood NJ, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the dynamics of workplaces around the globe. The adaptation to remote work has also been advantageous for many employees. Parents have found it easier to balance familial responsibilities, and others have invested in home office setups or relocated further from their workplaces. However, for the past three years, tens of millions of office workers have navigated through an ever-evolving landscape of working from home and intermittent attempts to return to the office. However, a recent survey conducted by Authority Hacker throws light on employees’ perspectives on returning to the office, showing that the majority are reluctant to give up the flexibility they have grown accustomed to.

Ridgewood NJ,  since COVID work from home or remote work has become a viable alternative and some would say a necessary alternative to commuting. In April of 2017 a reader suggested that , “The next big shift will be work itself and working from home The technology already exists, but fairly soon we will see major corporations eliminating expensive office spaces where millions of people commute into every day to punch keyboards in buildings located in some of the most expensive places on earth. The cost benefits will drive this, and although there is a reluctance to go in this direction, as soon as one or two major companies start, it will happen quickly due to the obvious savings. This is going to impact public transport and commercial real estate in a big way. Forget about productivity dropping and people pretending to work, modern technology makes everything we do so measurable now, there’s no way you can pretend to work any longer.”
