Ridgewood Emergency Services Volunteers are clearing the snow so that the resident can safely be moved to the waiting ambulance. During the blizzard of 2022, there are 12 Emergency Service volunteers on standby at headquarters ready to respond to any Emergency in the Village.

Ridgewood NJ, legislation that could impact Ridgewood EMS volunteers sponsored by Senator Anthony Bucco would allow New Jersey towns to increase funding for volunteer first aid and rescue squads was approved by the New Jersey Senate.

Ridgewood NJ, This designated week, established by presidential proclamation in 1973, is an annual celebration to recognize and appreciate the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) provided by EMTs and Paramedics in communities across our nation.  Ridgewood Emergency Services Volunteers provides a vital service to the Village of Ridgewood, 24/7, 365 days of year. The volunteers are constantly training and always willing to leave their loved ones, miss an event and as seen in the current pandemic, risk their lives to help a friend or stranger.

Ridgewood Emergency Services ARE READY TODAY, PREPARING FOR TOMORROW.  We salute all our members for their time, dedication and willingness to serve . NATIONAL

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services volunteers wore special pink uniform shirts throughout the month of October as part of its annual campaign to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. Volunteers are using the Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign to encourage members of the public to take steps that will help detect the disease in its early stages, including self-exams and regular mammograms. While a lot of progress has been made in increasing awareness about breast cancer and the benefits of early detection, there is still a long way to go in combating the disease.
