Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Fire Chief John Judge has requested that Veterans Field and the surrounding area be properly irrigated several days prior to the fireworks display on July 4th in order to reduce the risk of spot fires (per the International Fire Code New Jersey Edition, section 5608, and NFPA 1123).
