For the Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47, April 1st has become a day of legendary digital pranks. While some departments stick to tradition, Ridgewood’s social media team once sparked a local “uproar” that people are still talking about years later: The Legend of Glen the Firehouse Dog.

Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood Recycling Center, located on East Glen Avenue, behind the Ridgewood Fire Headquarters, is open.  Please place all recycling in the trunk of your vehicle (to maintain social distancing) so that our employees can take it out and place it into the proper roll-off container for you.  All yardwaste must be in a container or in biodegradable paper bags and all twigs/branches must be bundled and tied. We are also accepting cardboard recycling from the Central Business District at the Recycling Center.

Ridgewood Garbage pickup will remain curbside, through July 10, 2020

Ridgewood NJ, Garbage pickup will remain curbside, through July 10, 2020 with rear yard garbage pickup resuming on July 13, 2020.  Please remember that curbside garbage must be placed in a covered barrel, to prevent access to the garbage by animals, keep the streets clean, and protect our employees.  Please check your garbage pickup schedule in the Village calendar or by going onto the Village website (www.ridgewoodnj.net) and clicking on “My Services Lookup”.
