This is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Alex will graduate with Honors this week from Ridgewood High School and attend Cornell University this fall.

Trenton NJ, A massive infrastructure project that would relieve rail congestion between Newark and New York City has been sidetracked for almost a decade by funding uncertainties and political posturing. But legislation passed Tuesday by the Assembly Appropriations Committee may be crucial to finally advancing the long-awaited Gateway tunnel construction.
The bill (A5570) creates the Gateway Development Commission, a two-state
agency with New York to precipitate the completion of the Gateway Program transportation projects. After clearing the committee with a 10-0 vote, the bill will be considered by the Assembly tomorrow.

Ridgewood NJ, Beginning June 17, 2019, NJ TRANSIT will be temporarily diverting select Midtown Direct rail service on the Montclair-Boonton Line and one North Jersey Coast Line train to Hoboken, in order to accommodate vital Amtrak repair work that will take two tracks at Penn Station New York (PSNY) out of service. Other temporary service adjustments will include Morris & Essex Line Midtown Direct trains no longer stopping at Newark Broad Street station during the morning and evening peak periods, and a limited number of Midtown Direct reverse-peak trains will operate from Hoboken.

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Heather Mailander the milling of the train station parking lot has been completed; however, it took longer than anticipated. Therefore, the paving of the lot will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Both the train station parking lot and the adjacent lot (with an entrance by MacMurphy’s) will be closed until about 6:00 p.m. There will be parking spaces delineated on Saturday, with the final striping of the spaces being done on Monday, June 17, 2019. Please make other parking arrangements.
The end result of the construction will be approximately 35 additional parking spaces in the train station lot. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during the construction.

We’ve been here 50 years and have only had to rake in the last 10 or so years. There was nothing on this property when we moved in except for 2 scrawny trees in front. And, according to the history revealed about Schedler “the fighting was done on the rise above the River. ” which is actually my house as we are at the very top of the rise. We all know this property was purchased for the use of the athletic groups in Ridgewood which supposedly was going to provide mega bucks by them for the purchase. “

Deputy Mayor Knudsen decided to correct the misinformation that’s being propagated by the One Village One Vote group, she pointed out the inaccuracies in Matt Lindenberg’s post that > 2% annual increase in Budget automatically calls out the budget vote and clarified that use of exceptions/ exemptions the BOE budget can exceed 2% without a November vote, Dan Creed further clarified that the exception items can easily hit the 10% increase without an actual Budget vote, he also explained that through ‘Bank the difference’ any year where the budget doesn’t increases 2%, the Difference can be reserved for next year, essentially the tax payers have no control on this perpetual increase without the budget vote.
