SADDLE RIVER, NJ — The New Jersey political landscape has lost one of its most influential figures. Samuel S. Raia, the former Chairman of the New Jersey Republican State Committee and a two-term Mayor of Saddle River, has passed away at the age of 77.

Known as a “well-liked political insider,” Raia’s career spanned over four decades, during which he rose from a local school board member to a key advisor for Governors and Presidential candidates.

Saddle River Considers $860K Property Purchase for Affordable Housing on East Allendale Road

SADDLE RIVER, NJ — Saddle River officials are considering the purchase of a 0.6-acre property at 22 E. Allendale Road for affordable housing, with the price set at $860,000. The proposal, introduced at the Aug. 18 Borough Council meeting, is set for a public hearing and vote on Sept. 15.
