VILLAGE OF RIDGEWOOD REMINDERS ABOUT SNOW REMOVAL

Ridgewood NJ, If it is snowing or going to snow overnight, please do not park your vehicles on the streets, in order to allow our plows to do their work in clearing the snow. All sidewalks in residential districts must be cleared within 24 hours of the snow falling. Please do not place snow into the street; instead, place it back onto your own property. In addition, if you have a fire hydrant on your property, please clear it of any snow accumulation.

Residents Say Circle Ave in Ridgewood Needs a little Extra Attention

Ridgewood NJ, With its close proximity to Ridgewood Hjigh School circle avenue was never plowed. It’s barely passable. The high school students are parked by the nursery school and essentially render that street one way. Some park their cars so close to Ridgewood ave that the tails of the car is sticking IN to RW ave. which also makes that turn ON to circle impossible.

Additionally, parents walking from all the way down the block to drop kids at this school-because heres no parking due to the students, are having to traverse some of the most poorly shoveled or deiced sidewalks I’ve seen. I saw a mother fall while holding her young daughter. She smacked her head in someone’s rock wall.

This street NEEDS to be addressed immediately. And the sidewalks that are so totally ice and snow covered, have got to have some code enforcement.

Ridgewood Park And Ride was mostly neglected again

Ridgewood NJ, Yes, town workers did a pretty decent job in town.As usual, the business district always gets taken care of.

What about the park and ride on route 17??  again this year, the Ridgewood Park And Ride was mostly neglected. The main section was o.k. for those using the meters. The section for the yearly commuters is a disaster. Only 20% done. Maybe the town prefers clearing the meter area only.

The section for the commuters with a yearly pass, was horrible this morning at 7:30 AM, maybe 20% done.

Worse yet Shortline resumed bus service first thing Sunday morning .

So, town is certainly making sure we can put money in the meters.Last year, same situation but much worse.

Our town manager made a comment last year after I complained, she would get in plowed by the following day and actually was.
So why wasn’t the whole lot plowed??
