Ridgewood NJ, If it is snowing or going to snow overnight, please do not park your vehicles on the streets, in order to allow our plows to do their work in clearing the snow. All sidewalks in residential districts must be cleared within 24 hours of the snow falling. Please do not place snow into the street; instead, place it back onto your own property. In addition, if you have a fire hydrant on your property, please clear it of any snow accumulation.
Also remember snow-buried hydrants present unusual fire hazards across North Jersey . The responsibility for keeping hydrants clear of snow varies from town to town. If you have a fire hydrant in front of your house, help yourself and help your neighbors by keeping it clear of snow. Ridgewood Police and Fire Departments urge resident to clear a path around the hydrant of 3 feet by 3 feet .
We will remove snow. Will the Village please remove leafs?
nanny state with one way Charlie twist..
You dam jerks stop blowing your snow back into the road . What fools.
Yeah why do some people do that. I just don’t get it. How stupid can you be.
Maybe the RFD can take a break from sending a crew of 4 to Stop & Shop to pick up food and get hydrants clear too?
Leave them alone they got to eat too.
Who pays for the food. That theY eat . And how is the Covid working out in the fire department.
The crew worked some serious hours after that storm. They’re allowed to eat and drink (refueling) before going out again.
Tough crowd…
The RFD pays for their own food. I’ve never seen more than one or two of them in Stop and Shop buying for the firehouse. Not in 30 years here in Ridgewood. Give it a break.
If was them I would have it delivered!
If the full crew is on a truck I’d guess its from the small firehouse so if an alarm comes in the full crew can respond to the house together, even those who come here and bitch about everything.
Why excessively plow! I clean my sidewalk well after the storm is over and the plows come again and again leaving me to clean the sidewalk multiple times! Even when the road is already cleaned they manage to put more on it. Clean is one thing but this perfection is ridiculous. And if I don’t clean, I’m subjected to fines when the town is at fault. Do better ridgewood.
