“I immigrated from Europe to the States and became a US citizen. I still think it was a great move on my part but I have started to have doubts about the worrying directions this country is moving in in recent weeks. I worry about the mindset of this country’s youth and young adults.”

Reader says “This country was successful and the envy of the world because of the rule of law”

trentonos

“This country was successful and the envy of the world because of the rule of law. Now that the hordes have taken control and they can literally destroy a life in minutes through social media attacks, law only applies to certain groups of peaceful people we are headed for turmoil. The transformation of this country into some unrecognizable mix of socialism, humiliating and destroy white people, creating artificial divide between Americans of different colors and backgrounds and inciting them against each other is an experiment that will really destroy the world as we know it. Conflict after conflict, division after division is the path to self destruction. We are under the siege of extreme ideologies that nobody seems to be able to stand against.
I feel so bad for the children and I sympathize with the new couples who would rather raise dogs than kids.”

Reader suggests a good highway system will be needed to support the vast numbers of people fleeing the high taxes and Socialist agenda of Phil Murphy

“A good highway system will be very important over the next few years. The infrastructure will need to support the vast numbers of people fleeing the high taxes and Socialist agenda Murphy is driving. If the Pandemic as taught us anything at all, it has taught us that most of us can work from anywhere. Why put up with New Jersey any longer?”

Reader says , “Fair Share Housing Center hates the suburbs and is on a mission to destroy them”

communism2

“This landmark settlement agreement will give working families, particularly people of color, the chance to move into one of America’s wealthiest towns,” – this my friends is how socialism works. That’s how many eastern countries were ruined during 30-40 years of communism after WWII. The rich must quit their hard earned privilege of living in nice areas and must make way and share their wealth with the poor. The gap must disappear and all should should come down to leaving the same quality of life. Look at their language also. They purposely promote division by mentioning people of color. This is pure Marxist ideology . FSHA is a scary organization and NJ is under their heel. To me it feels like Fair Share Housing Center hates the suburbs and is on a mission to destroy them. Bolsheviks were not much different.

Reader calls Saddle River Forced Over-development Deal a “death sentence”

Projects_theridgewoodblog

“beautiful Saddle River received a death sentence with that Rosie O’Donnell property development. Hundreds of units for low income families. I almost threw up when I saw the announcement yesterday. Socialism is all about mixing people together and bringing them to the same miserable quality of life level. NJ is fast progressing into a Berlin wall era eastern sh!thole. I lived that misery and it is following me over here. Most shocking is that people do not even care with very few exceptions.”

Phil Murphy

It is clear that democratic policies no longer exist. In their stead we have an oligarchy of business interests and socialists. A match made in hell indeed.

The business interests want continued expansion of the consumer economy not by making better products or paying better salaries, but rather by taking away consumers’ ability to not buy their product. Think sickcare and college as top performers.

Why Martin Luther King Was Republican

King_Jr_Martin_Luther_093

frice | Wednesday Aug 16, 2006 12:00 AM

It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S’s: slavery, secession, segregation and now socialism.

It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

During the civil rights era of the 1960s, Dr. King was fighting the Democrats who stood in the school house doors, turned skin-burning fire hoses on blacks and let loose vicious dogs. It was Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court, which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation. Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman’s issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took action to effectively end segregation in the military.

Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Sen. Al Gore Sr. And after he became President, Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph, who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

Bergen County Becomes the first County in the State of New Jersey to adopt a $15 minimum wage

replacement

November 24,2017
the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , “This afternoon I was joined by my colleagues on the Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders, along with representatives from USUW 755, USUW 655, and the Executive Director of New Jersey Working Families Analilia Mejia, to announce and sign Executive Order No. 2017-01, officially making Bergen County the first county in the state of New Jersey to adopt a $15 minimum wage for its full time county workers.

Good people are essential to good government, and good managers understand that their employees need to be valued. County employees who put in 40 hours or more every week, in service to their friends and neighbors throughout Bergen County, deserve and have earned a $15 minimum wage. It is important to me that we do this for our workers in time for holidays.”

While the reality is most employers cannot simply raise prices to cover the higher minimum wage, particularly in the competitive services sector. … But a preponderance of evidence has shown that there are no positive effects on employment of low-skilled workers that offset the negative effects from an increase in the minimum wage.

Look for more automation , layoffs , business closings ,less full time work and even less opportunities for starter jobs in Bergen county.
