Travell Students and staff traveled 9,878 miles for “Travell-ing Across America”

Ridgewood NJ , Travell celebrated Heart Health Month in February by “Travell-ing Across America”. Students and staff tracked their miles (walking, running, shoveling, sledding, exercising in any way!) for the whole month of February. Their goal was to get to San Francisco, California (5,404 miles). The Travell community traveled 9,878 which got them to California and back to NJ with miles to spare!
Along with this challenge, Travell families raised $4,472 for the American Heart Association.

Ridgewood NJ, Every year during the 4th of July parade in Ridgewood, NJ local schools compete to have the best float in the parade. This year, Travell Elementary has a connected component to its float, a free AppStore app for your iPhone or iPad.

Travell School knocked it out of the park again this year with the best float by far in the parade.
They are always very creative and have a large contingent of students and parents marching.
Great school spirit. Great float.

Transformer blows near Travell School Residents Report No Loss of Power

Ridgewood NJ, At 1 pm this afternoon on Fairfield Ave,  near the Travell school, a transformer on a pole started sparking.Residents called PSE&G. who sent a truck .  Ridgewood police and fire also showed  with 5 Ridgewood vehicles. PSE&G as of 4 pm. had 7 trucks here.

Residents said , “We thought there were fireworks originally hearing the loud noises.”
