Village of Ridgewood’s 2020 Veterans Day Ceremony

Ridgewood NJ, Neither COVID or a light rain could stop the Village of Ridgewood’s 2020 Veterans Day Ceremony held at Van Neste Memorial Park .The Ridgewood Police Honor Guard presented the colors for  the Veterans Day ceremony .

Mayor Susan Kundsen , Deputy Mayor Mike Sedon , Sergeant James Leonard, American Legion Post  53 Commander Bob Paoli , Legionnaire Bill Leahy, and Father John Ginty were among the speakers ( we will update  as we get more information). National Anthem sung by Sally Ann Tumas-Skoric.  Other council members in attendance Pan Perron, Lorraine Reynolds and Bernadette Walsh .

Twp. of Washington has cancelled It’s Veterans’ Day Ceremony Due to COVID Concerns

Twp of Washington NJ, Twp of Washington continues to deal with a raise in COVID cases. The Township staff are currently working remotely after a member of the administrative staff who has limited interaction with the rest of the staff has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, that employee will be self-quarantined and will have to follow all CDC and Health Department guidelines before returning to work in approximately two weeks. All employees have been notified, and the building had its regularly scheduled weekly full sanitation on November 8, 2020. Out of an abundance of caution, the Town Hall Staff will all work remotely for the week of November 9, 2020.

Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood Police Honor Guard presented the colors at Saturday’s Veterans Day ceremony at Van Neste Square Park. Even the cold weather could not stops people from honoring our men and women in uniform.  Thank you to our friends at American Legion Post 53 and all Veterans who have served our country ?? — at Van Neste Square.

Village of Ridgewood Veteran’s Day Ceremony
Presented by American Legion Post 53
American Legion Post 53 will conduct a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11th starting at 11 am. It will take place at Memorial Park in Van Neste Square. Everyone is invited especially VietNam era veterans who will be honored.
