West Orange NJ,  Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor (OIFP) today announced that the owner of a chain of mental health clinics in New Jersey was charged with enlisting the aid of his employees to defraud Medicaid in a phony billing scheme and then, together with his wife, using the clinics to conceal the couple’s income in a $1 million tax evasion scheme.

US Postal Employee Admits Dumping Election Ballots Sent to West Orange Residents

North Arlington NJ, a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier from Hudson County today admitted he discarded mail, including 99 general election ballots sent from the Essex County Board of Elections to West Orange, New Jersey, residents, from his assigned routes in Orange and West Orange, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Feds Nab Postal Employee Dumping Election Ballots

West Orange NJ, A U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail carrier from Hudson County was arrested today for discarding mail, including 99 general election ballots sent from the County Board of Elections and intended to be delivered to West Orange residents, from his assigned routes in Orange and West Orange, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Nicholas Beauchene, 26, of Kearny, New Jersey, is charged by complaint with one count of delay, secretion, or detention of mail and one count of obstruction of mail. He is scheduled to appear this afternoon before U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor in Newark federal court.

Dump truck hits three NJ State troopers investigating an accident on Interstate 280 in West Orange

West Orange NJ, New Jersey State Troopers reported that at 10:22 a.m., a dump truck struck two troopers outside of their patrol cars and multiple pedestrians at an accident investigation on I-280 EB MP 9.8 in West Orange. Both troopers were transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

No serious injuries reported by pedestrians. Dump truck remained on scene. All lanes closed due to the investigation. Expect delays. No additional information is available.
