Woodland Park Man Arrested for the Sexual Assault of a 16-year-old

Wood-Ridge NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of CLARENCE KASEIN HEDGEMAN (DOB: 04/15/1982; single; driver) of Woodland Park, NJ, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and sexual assault by contact.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Wood-Ridge Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael O’Donnell.

Passaic County Man Indicted for Assaulting and Attempting to Rob Mail Carriers in Woodland Park and Wyckoff

Wyckoff NJ, A Passaic County, man was indicted today for assaulting and attempting to rob two U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mail carriers in January 2021, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.

German Shepherds Being Mysteriously Dumped Throughout Northern North Jersey

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County SPCA is reporting that in the past week, at least 8 German Shepherd dogs, thought to be related, have been abandoned throughout northern New Jersey. One such dog is Shelby, rescued by RBARI this past week after being tracked for days in Closter, then trapped by Buddah Dog Rescue and Recovery. Two other shepherds were rescued while running on the Palisades Parkway in Alpine, four more were found in Woodland Park, and one was found abandoned in Wayne. There are reports of sightings of at least 3 others possibly connected. None of the dogs have collars, tags or microchips, and all are very frightened, suspected to be the victims of backyard breeding.

Moving Company Head Sentenced To Five Years In Prison for Price Extortion Scam

Woodland Park NJ,  A Passaic County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 60 months in prison for leading a conspiracy involving numerous moving companies that systematically extorted hundreds of customers, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Richard Bishara, 43, of Woodland Park, New Jersey, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Judge Wigenton imposed the sentence today in Newark federal court.
