While a two-vehicle collision on April 15, 2026, snarled rush-hour traffic, it was a quiet moment of kindness between a first responder and a golden-haired passenger named Buddy that is capturing hearts across the community.

Wyckoff Police Officers Perform CPR, Revive 3-year Old Boy

Wyckoff NJ, on July 24, 2020 at approximately 12:30 PM, Wyckoff officers were dispatched to the Wyckoff YMCA on a report of a 3-year-old boy who was not breathing. Arriving officers observed that the boy was being treated by YMCA staff and was unresponsive and cyanotic. Wyckoff officers Robert Schlossberg and Michael Scalise performed CPR on the child while attempting to clear his airway of any obstructions. The boy began to breathe on his own and was transported to the hospital by the Wyckoff Ambulance Corps and Paramedics from Valley Hospital.
