Ridgewood NJ, in a Facebook post Valley Health System recognized the heroic actions taken by Sergeant Ferreira, Officer Bucci, and Officer Fullam of the Wyckoff Police Department and Randy Banks and Mae Yazdi-Bogdansky of the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

In early October the team responded to an emergency call for an adult male in cardiac arrest. Upon arriving on the scene, the Wyckoff Police Department immediately initiated CPR and administered five shocks using an automated external defibrillator. Wyckoff Police continued to work with EMS on resuscitation as they transported the patient to The Valley Hospital Emergency Department.

During transport, the patient regained a pulse and spontaneous breathing. The patient received emergency treatment at The Valley Hospital, which resulted in a positive outcome. The quick thinking and instant action taken by Sergeant Ferreira, Officer Bucci, Officer Fullam, and the Wyckoff EMS squad truly exemplifies #CareLikeNoOther.
