NJT Rail ‘bill of rights’ proposed
NJ Transit’s lackluster rankings in its most recent customer survey have prompted a state senator to propose a train rider “bill of rights” for minimum service standards — from seats to heat and some recourse if the transit agency fails to deliver.
The bill, proposed by state Sen. Jennifer Beck, R-Monmouth, would be similar to what the Metro-North and Long Island railroads proposed as a passenger bill of rights for their riders earlier this year. (Higgs, Gannett)
