Ridgewood NJ, due to the expected heavy snow event, West side garbage and Area 1 recycling collections will be cancelled on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 and the recycling center will be closed.
Collections will resume on Wednesday, February 14th with Recycling Area 2 and East side garbage. East side residents should place garbage cans at the curbside for collection on Wednesday and Friday.
West side residents should bring garbage cans curbside for pickup on Thursday, February 15th Rear yard garbage collection will resume on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Another paid day off for the sanitation and recycling employees?
It would be prudent to put them in the plow trucks just like NYC does when they suspend garbage pickup
Looks like the village employees with a paid snow day are staying home voting thumbs down. Maybe get a job with a private carter at a huge pay cut and see what you missed. dont kick a gift horse
They put this info out after most of us had already put out our recycling. This could have come out hours earlier.
The recycling is out on most houses on my block and will sit there until it’s picked up.
If you and your neighbors put the recycling out on a snow day, that was announced 2 days ago, you failed the IQ test! So go pick it up before it blows all over.

I know people just don’t pay attention, it’s amazing how so many people don’t follow the local news, the weather in their area. Do they just walk around with their head up their ass. These are the people that are never prepared ,last minute, and then I put their sanitation recycling cans in the road even on nice weather days, put it at the end of your driveway. Because even a nice sunny days, guess what you shouldn’t put anything in the road what about the street sweeper when they come down then they have to go around your can. Some of you be out there wake up pay attention, learn the system, stop working against the system. Listen people, this is about safety, do you know how many employees get her walking down walkways driveways, etc. or not properly plowed insulted, just a pick up your sanitation. Well, that’s why sanitation should be at the end of the driveway. Not in the backyard. Everyone brings everything else out to the curb. What about yard scans that are overweight, and employees in the past have been hurt.

Hi, since recycling area 1 was cancelled today and pickup resumes tomorrow with recycling area 2, does that mean that recycling area 1 won’t have another pickup until the next scheduled date (2/26) or will there be a makeup date before then?
They are now picking up area 1 on Saturday. No doubt on overtime.
they should work for free to replace the unnecessary day off
