NORTHVALE, NJ — A Northvale community is in mourning following a tragic pedestrian accident that claimed the life of a 66-year-old resident on Thursday.
According to Northvale Police Chief Howard J. Ostrow, the incident occurred at approximately 11:20 a.m. on April 16, 2026, at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and West Avenue.
Details of the Incident
Northvale Police officers arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering from severe trauma after being struck by a motor vehicle. Officers immediately administered first aid before the victim was transported via medevac to Hackensack University Medical Center.
Despite emergency medical efforts, the Northvale Police Department confirmed that the woman succumbed to her injuries later that evening.
