  1. Must miss

  2. Another dumb and costly mistake in a string of dumb and costly mistakes. I’d advise any of the VC who wants to have a personal life to skip this ceremony because there will be a s***storm of complaints wherever they go. Let the mayor drive up in his Porsche, put on a construction helmet, pose with a golden shovel for the photo op alone, and then leave.

  3. Shameful.

    Welcome to Montclair.

  4. Still time to stop this folks….ramon? Susan? Mike? Bernie? Douchebag?

  5. Welcome to Montclair! I totally agree!!
One of the many, many mistakes this town has made. Total disruption will be present EVERY day nor for months. Most in ” upper CBD” wait to they start the ridiculous construction at the old Sealfons!

  6. Montclair!
    Shameful!
    Total disruption!
Your not stopping anything because we’re moving into the future with the infrastructure necessary to get us there.
Waxing poetically about the past serves only to keep you there. That’s nice. The rest of us are moving forward. You don’t like what’s going on at VH?
    Then do something about it.
Until then you can continue to bitch in this forum while we pass you by.

  7. “Moving on” and “fighting resistance to change” are standard rationalizations by those who are pushing overbuilding. We’ve heard it before.

It’s going to be a disaster, both during and long after construction.

  8. Hey Mayor is your Godfather Jimmy Tedesco, III going to be there?

  9. I’m interested to know what all the references to Montclair are all about. We visited there recently and parked in the multi-story garage. Worked fine, and convenient. Not sure if this spot is what all the fuss is about, but the garage does work in the greater scheme of the business district in which it sits.

  10. there is a short term demand for parking, the bubble for its usage will peek easy before the end of its useful life. it will sit vacant and crumble because no one budgeted for demolition. it is a sad song

  11. No way will I attend this. No fucking way

  12. Towns spending on Crack…

the real mismanagement damage shall now begin..

  13. New Crack shed …just wait..

  14. There was a recent featured letter in The Record how Montclair turned into a crowded city, from a charming quaint small town community. Sound familiar?

  15. Two arrests in two days by Broad street. yeah. The garage is going to be safe. Sure.

  16. Who will be cutting that ribbon? Ramon? Wasn’t his platform NO garage? I bet he is standing there with his hypocritical smile! Sorry I supported his lies

  17. Crack den

  18. This is not a “Village” no matter what anyone wants to say about it to make it sound so idyllic and quaint – It is definitely a “city” with bad roads, traffic/buses, construction and soon to be parking garage plus many more apartments/people/traffic
