Cliffside Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of EDUARDO CAMACHO (DOB: 5/02/1994; single; unemployed) of Cleveland, Ohio on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cliffside Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Marc Marano.
On May 25, 2023, the Cliffside Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of two children. An investigation by the two agencies revealed that EDUARDO CAMACHO sexually assaulted two children, one under the age of 13, and one older than the age of 13 but younger than the age of 16, on multiple occasions in Cliffside Park, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Monday, June 19, 2023, EDUARDO CAMACHO was arrested in Cleveland, OH and charged with 6 counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); and 2 counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). CAMACHO was remanded to the Cuyahoga County Jail, Ohio, pending extradition to Bergen County, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Cliffside Park Police Department and the Cleveland Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
