Ridgewood NJ, “One Village One Vote” has been promoting taking the right to vote on the school budget away from tax payers . This group helped destroy the Village by supporting high density housing, Valley expansion, the original five story garage that would have encroached into the street, attacking Our Lady of Mount Carmel and calling the deputy Mayor a Nazi in flyers during the last election.
This group is part of the “establishment” which promotes favoritism in local government , supported the “3 amigos” , and encourages the rogue school board to go on a wild irresponsible spending spree with taxpayer money.
They are behind much of what has turned the Village of Ridgewood from “the town” to “a town” in the sinking ship called New Jersey. Now they are aggressively promoting taking your rights away from you to vote on the school budget. They are constantly are wrong side on every single issue and are heavily responsible for the next 20 years of massive tax increases to fund all the infrastructure spending needed because of the high density housing , ie parking, sewage ,power, water, schools ,roads ,Fire , EMS and Police.
Send them to gulag! Oh wait, that honour is reserved for conservatives. Never mind, carry on.

DON’T IT !!!!
We came together as a group only to constructively discuss the merits of consolidating our multiple general elections to a single date. We have never as a group discussed ANY of the other topics listed in this completely fabricated article.
Should change their name to:
One Village No Vote
or
more accurately:
One Village All Votes For Me
.
The Blog has stated the facts. One Village One Vote would take away our ability/right to vote on the school budget which I believe represents almost 2/3 of our overall budget:Municipal and Board of Education combined. Many of the people in this group promoted the original plan for the giant garage that would have extended its’ footprint into Hudson Street, taken parking off the streets and dwarfed Mount Carmel for starters.. They supported the large Valley expansion plans. If you have any doubts about what that would have done to the community, take a ride over to Winters Avenue and see what the construction site looks like. They also pushed for the high density housing ordinances which have negatively impacted the entire town especially the CBD possibly for years to come. They were supporters of Paul, Albert, Gwenn and VM Roberta. These were bad years for the town politically . They voted in bloc and disregarded public input.
In regards to the photograph of the new apartment complex aside the Train.
It is a disgrace , a marker as to how far we have drifted from any reasonable standards. It looks like a loading dock
in the back of an abandoned Sears distribution site.
yes ,we know that it has not been completed..what is next
is the Cars versus pedestrians around this unacceptable
project. We have become hackensack in worst way.
THE ROADS ARE SHOT , & It has been a LIGHT Snow & Ice event WINTER…COUNTY Has abandoned its responsibility to VOR county main roads outside of the hot patch County pothole carts. This is not acceptable government at any level of minimum needs of very high taxed citizens.
This is NOT a fabricated article. We will absolutely lose our right to vote on the Board of Education proposed budgets. This would be completely disgraceful. We should not under any circumstances lose our right to vote on the biggest piece of our municipal tax bill. Come on people, this is so obvious. Thank you to The Blog for keeping this story accurate.
This group is headed up by Siobhan Clueless Winograd.
I want to vote on the budget. It has a huge impact on my life. The grand plans for the library and high school are proof that we need fiscal oversight. It is my money.
I lived in Ridgewood before and after having children in the schools. I have downsized but I regret staying. The village has become nothing but a wish list for developers and short term residents.
Young buyers cannot afford and do not want big houses. Homes over $1 million are not moving. After renovations by homeowners many of these homes are still selling for less that what they were bought for 15-20 years ago. Realtors (who make a good living off us) should be honest about this. They will list a home and then push for never ending price cuts. They get paid either way.
Many high end homeowners have had reevaluations to lower their taxes. When the village has it’s next town-wide tax reevaluation we will all pay for the decline in high-end home values. The village expense pie will be divided and the under $1 million taxes will go up. It’s not “just the cost of a Starbucks every day”.
