Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 30-year-old EDGAR HOLGUIN-REYES and 27-year-old YAKAYRA REYES, both of Reading, PA, for possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl pills. The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.
Ridgewood NJ, several residents recently wrote to us expressing concern about comments from Village Council members of late hinting that the former Town Garage property may not become a pocket park (open space) as was promised. Mayor Paul Vagianos himself previously indicated he would rather the property be used for public parking.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Water’s project to install new water mains in the area of the Eastside Reservoir and future site of the Eastside PFAS Treatment Facility will begin tomorrow, April 1st, and is expected to be completed in approximately six weeks. Platkin and the Division of Highway Traffic Safety (HTS) today announced the launch of a high visibility enforcement effort to reduce distracted driving. The campaign, known as “Put the Phone Away or Pay,” runs from April 1 through April 30, and provides funding for law enforcement agencies throughout the state to bolster enforcement of laws prohibiting texting and other forms of distracted driving.
