Emerson NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of COLIN MURPHY (DOB: 8/11/2003; single; unemployed) of 91 North Vivyen Street, Bergenfield, New Jersey; JACOB INGLIS (DOB: 4/26/2002; single; unemployed) of 2 Sunrise Terrace, Bergenfield, New Jersey; and Cameron Schneid (DOB: 5/23/2001; single; unemployed) of 526 Boulevard, New Milford, New Jersey on robbery and theft charges. These arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Emerson Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Mazzeo.

Mayor of Twp. Of Washington Warns lightning Detection System Not Functioning

Dear Residents,
As we have been enduring some rather stormy Summer weather, it was brought to my attention late last week by Councilman DeSena and several naturally concerned parents, that the lightning detection system at our fields are not functioning. After researching the reason for the system outage that many residents depend on for its reliability, I found that the main antenna, located at the Westwood Regional Middle School and shared with Westwood and Emerson, will continue to be inoperable for the foreseeable future due to the on-going construction at the school.

Emerson NJ, Emerson PD units, along with multiple paramedic teams and ambulances, rushed to an address on Colonial Road in Emerson on Sunday afternoon, 05/28, in response to reports of a child that had been found unresponsive in a back yard swimming pool. A victim was reportedly transported by a Emerson EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. No further information about the victim, nor his/her condition, was readily available.
