West Milford NJ, The West Milford Police department received several calls at approximately 2100 hours, of a house explosion in Upper Greenwood Lake. Police, Fire, and EMS responded to Banker Road for a confirmed house explosion. 5 victims were medic vac to area hospitals. An additional victim refused further medical attention.

 Ridgewood NJ, according to the  Ridgewood Police Department their main Police phone line (201-652-3900) is not receiving calls from Verizon landlines. It appears that this is the extent of the problem. All citizens are advised to call 201-670-5519 if they receive an “out of service” message. We are still here! 911 is working properly and can be used for emergency purposes.

Crash Takes Out Utility Pole and a Fire Hydrant in Elmwood Park

Elmwood Park NJ, a Friday night, 09/22, single vehicle crash at the intersection of Broadway and Mola Boulevard in Elmwood Park wiped out a utility pole and a fire hydrant. The older model SUV was likely totaled in the crash as well. Elmwood Park Police , Fire Department, EMS, and DPW units responded to the incident. PSE&G’s Electric Division was summoned to deal with the downed utility pole. A hydraulic lift tow truck removed the wreckage. The vehicle’s driver refused medical attention.

Garfield NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JUHAAN HAMMOND (DOB: 9/16/1993; single; unemployed) of 57 Jewell Street, Second Floor, Garfield, NJ on strict liability and drug distribution-related charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard Uram.

Ridgewood Fire Department Takes Delivery on a New Ambulance

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark , the Ridgewood Fire Department recently took delivery of our new ambulance, a 2022 Osage. Although providing medical services to the Village since 1987, the Ridgewood Fire Department has been continually increasing its involvement in responding to the Village’s 9-1-1 ambulance calls in recent years. This is the first ambulance purchased by the Ridgewood Fire Department. This brings the total number of ambulances serving the Village remains at three: Ambulance 10, Ambulance 12 and now Ambulance 46.

I am not going anywhere.”
