Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark , the Ridgewood Fire Department recently took delivery of our new ambulance, a 2022 Osage. Although providing medical services to the Village since 1987, the Ridgewood Fire Department has been continually increasing its involvement in responding to the Village’s 9-1-1 ambulance calls in recent years. This is the first ambulance purchased by the Ridgewood Fire Department. This brings the total number of ambulances serving the Village remains at three: Ambulance 10, Ambulance 12 and now Ambulance 46.

    1. What are the color scheme differences? (this is a serious question) .
It looks the same to my untrained eye.

      1. The fire department had to change it from red to blue to destroy any trace of the former services, it’s all about ego with them

  2. Why not just re-number ambulance 10 and 12 to maintain the numbering convention?

    1. What happened to ambulance 11?

    2. They have to destroy tradition and confuse everyone just to inflate their own egos

Another move by the petrified FD and loosing control.
The only way they can hold onto their union jobs is via EMS.

    1. The Fire Department wanted to control the EMS for ages, because of the stupid antics of the of the stipend supporters Ridgewood Fire got their wish

  5. They painted it red because they’re so afraid, clinging to whatever they can, that they can argue it can’t ever be changed back to blue to give it back to EMS or the Police because repainting blue over red would be too expensive.

    Paint: $5,000
RFD Salaries: Just under $7,000,000 a year
For everything else, there’s mastercard… wait, no, it’s your taxes

    1. When are Ridgewood residents going to wake up? Blatant theft..disgraceful council..out of control salaries and pensions. ENOUGH.

  6. 46 is going to be a problem, now the firefighters can’t even count that high if they take off both their boots! Gotta bring a third friend, better add it to the bill

  7. 200,grand
