Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza Welcomed Back Barnes & Noble on “Black Friday”

Paramus NJ, Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza welcomed back Barnes & Noble on “Black Friday” .


Barnes & Noble in Paramus previously announced the official opening date for its new location. The bookstore opened its doors on Black Friday, November 24th, at 634 Route 17 North.

The reopening comes eight months after the closure of its former location, which had been in operation for 30 years.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was at 9 a.m. attended by Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza, Joseph Simmons, also known as DJ Run from Run-DMC, and Harlan Coben, an author and Ridgewood resident.

There was also a special appearance by the  “Cat in the Hat”.

  1. Before Amazon came along they were well on their way to eliminating local small bookstores.
