Pedestrian Fatally Struck by An Out-of-service New Jersey Transit Train in Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn NJ, on Tuesday evening near the Fair Lawn station, a pedestrian was fatally struck by an out-of-service New Jersey Transit train traveling east on the Bergen County Line. The incident occurred around 7:25 p.m. near the Broadway Fair Lawn station, resulting in the death of an unidentified person, according to a statement from a NJ Transit spokesperson.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the train crew, and the train had no passengers on board. Following a temporary suspension of service, the Bergen County Line rail service resumed in both directions, but with delays of up to 30 minutes, as stated by the spokesperson.

The New Jersey Transit Police Department is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

  2. A lot of shit going on in Fairlawn, is turning up north Patterson. A lot of crime. A lot of filth a lot more people with all the building going on. Way too many people for that town.
