Northvale NJ, on Wednesday night in Northvale, a pedestrian lost their life after being hit by a freight train, as reported by the police.
The incident was reported around 9:12 p.m. by a CSX railroad employee, according to Northvale Police Chief Howard J. Ostrow.
Upon reaching the scene, Northvale police found an unidentified man lying facedown on the tracks just south of the crossing. Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the incident is being led by the CSX Police , in coordination with the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
