Garfield NJ, this morning, NJ Transit confirmed that a pedestrian was struck by a train. According to NJ Transit, the incident occurred when a train not in service, being relocated along the Bergen County Line, collided with a pedestrian just west of Plauderville Station at 5:33 a.m.
NJ Transit says a train not in service that was being moved along the Bergen County Line, struck and injured a pedestrian just west of Plauderville Station.
Details regarding the extent of injuries sustained by the pedestrian are currently unavailable. No train crew reported injuries. NJ Transit police have taken charge of the investigation into the incident.
