the staff of the Ridgewood bog
Ridgewood NJ, Uniformed patrol officers from Fair Lawn PD (2 units) and Paramus PD (3 units) were dispatched to aid Ridgewood PD in dispersing a large number of juveniles who had gathered to attend a party at a private home in the area of Newcomb Road, Ridgewood on Friday evening, 05/12. Ridgewood PD had received numerous 911 telephone calls from residents in the area reporting loud music, crowds of teenagers congregating, and unknown individuals running through back yards. Over 100 youths were dispersed from the area but not prior to an incident in which a 15 year old Wyckoff resident was allegedly struck in the head with a baseball bat by an adult male resident of Newcomb Road. An ambulance was called to evaluate the victim’s injuries, which were reported to have been non life threatening. No charges were immediately filed, however Ridgewood PD is investigating the alleged assault.
Did the host invite over 100 kids or were these mostly party crashers?
Lesson learned – make sure your teenagers don’t post their party location on Facebook.
Good thing our $145,000 per year officers broke this up with the help of cops from Fairlawn and Paramus. Good example of municipal consolidation in action. Time to merge the police depts of the surrounding communities and stop the insanity of “home rule” once and for all
Will the “adult male” be charged with attempted murder? I realize we’re missing a lot of details in this half assed article but it doesnt sound good at first look.
PARTY, woo hoo.
!0:00 you are a very angry person. Double up on your medication please.
Agreed. Merge the police departments.
This is horse fuck
The “adult male” should be charged. He really shouldn’t be hitting anyone without realizing who it is first. This kid could be seriously hurt. There were kids that crashed the party which made it more difficult. There should be a way of asking the police if some homes would have permission of having house parties then everything would be different.

Par-TY.
9:17 am – they don’t have to post it on Facebook. All it takes is one kid to text another who sends it to a group chat where it gets sent to yet another group chat, etc. It can happen in a matter of minutes. It happened to my neighbors daughter when one of her friends sent a text to her boyfriend to let him know that she was staying at a friends because the girls parents would be out late (they were around 18 yo so not young). The boyfriend sent that info to a friend as a party invite. . . . next thing you know, there were 200 teens coming down the street looking to party. The girls had to call the police but not before kids jumped in the pool, trampled flower beds, etc.
Attempted Murder???? Your funny
Not too far from here…there was a heavy police presence on Friday night come to think of it.
