Ridgewood NJ, in a classic example of how incompetent the Village’s Engineering Department is, a piece of heavy construction equipment used during the sidewalk construction project was left on Clinton Avenue for the first day of school. Or, worse yet, does the Engineering Department have more street related work planned that school has opened?

As if the street would not be crowded enough on the first day of school!

  1. Morons! With the strong winds we have around here, it could have easily tipped over and crushed someone.

    1. And in other news, the sky is falling!

      1. and when your kid takes it out for a joy ride you may think differently

        1. Hahahaha. Good one. Did they leave the key fob in it?

  3. Only in Ridgewood.

    1. Doubtful.

  4. Morons galore!

  5. And none of the cops they had in the area, noticed this and asked that it be moved?

    1. Or they could have arrested it.

  6. I’m waiting for Rurik Halaby to blame it on the resident who voiced concern about contaminated dirt fill.

    1. R.H. called the speaker an idiot and then said he doing so in a respective manner. When you have a psuedo intellectual like Rurik who thinks that he is smarter than everyone, you end up with someone who say really stupid things like this. You cannot make this stuff up. Welcome to entitled!!

      1. He thinks his accent makes him smart 😂. He is so ignorant and mean. The worst human next to the Pauls

  7. You couldn’t make shit like this up no matter how hard you tried.

  8. well KK whaddya say?

  9. Were the water shut-offs buried under that sidewalk?

    1. Probably

  10. There’s very little to say after the last meeting. I was embarrassed for those residents. Look at the parked vehicle in the photo – the road has emergency no parking and no stopping signs all over. What do the residents have to say about parking violations?

  11. Welcome to stupid

  12. Someone’s not thinking

  13. Spray paint it pink tonight….they’ll get the message…

    1. Spray it rainbow and it’ll be illegal to move it.

  14. No scheisse, I saw people walking along Clinton Avenue this morning during school session in the street — when there’s a perfectly good sidewalk to walk upon, mind you. The people, yes, yearn for the streets!

  15. Everyone thinks that because you add a few sidewalks the problem was solved. Look at that picture, we have progressed very far and it is already a shitshow with this heavy machinery. kids will be tripping all over the place. They should have left it as is, but NO, that would have been too easy. Vagianos has to muck everything up that he touches. He’s got solutions to problems that just don’t exist and no solutions to probems that do exist. He is most definitely as useless as a chocolate teapot and is utterly ineffectual.

  16. There should’ve been barricades behind it. Who is overseeing the job.👀

  17. Yea right a breeze is gonna blow that beast over. Morons.

  18. One should think before posting these moronic comments. Even the article itself is unnecessary. It was a parked construction vehicle, with cones, harmlessly on the side of the street Everyone bitterly complains about everything. Constantly.

    1. But then how would I get my free entertainment for the day, knowing that so many of my neighbors are mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, functionally illiterate golems? Don’t you go killing my golden goose, Johnny boy!
