Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood’s Pride Day Event will be held on June 10, 2023 – 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square Public Forum Space . All are welcome to join the Ridgewood community for a celebration of pride with local speakers, performers, allies, friends, families, and neighbors.
The Village pride event comes at a time the LGBTQ community has made major inroads in gaining acceptance, yet some of that acceptance has come at a cost . Many critics claim the push for acceptance and understanding has turned into a push to redefine and promote a”gay agenda” .Like Library drag show story-time for 8 year olds that leaves many asking , “why is this a thing?”
While isolated instances of backlash and “gay bashing ” have been limited, Pride flags that were placed at Church of the Redeemer in Morristown were vandalized and the church’s large and heavy sign was hit with such force that it broke into two pieces.
Many consumers have said enough is enough to the constant politicizing of every product and have begun to stage boycotts. Boycotts have hit stocks hard taking down the likes of Anheuser-Busch, Target, Kohl’s and VF Corp.’s North Face brand all caught in perceived anti-Pride backlash.
The line between awareness and politicizing can be subjective and context-dependent, but I can provide some general guidance.
Awareness generally refers to understanding or knowledge about a particular issue or topic. It involves being informed, educated, and having an understanding of various perspectives and facts surrounding an issue.
Politicizing, on the other hand, involves using or exploiting an issue for political gain or to promote a particular political agenda. It often involves framing the issue in a way that advances a specific political narrative or seeks to mobilize support for a particular group or cause.
The line between awareness and politicizing can become blurred when individuals or groups use awareness as a platform for pushing a political agenda, often by selectively presenting information or using emotionally charged language to sway public opinion. This can lead to the distortion or oversimplification of complex issues.
It’s important to note that awareness itself is not inherently bad or wrong. In fact, raising awareness about important issues can be a crucial first step towards positive change. However, it becomes politicizing when the focus shifts from providing information and fostering understanding to using the issue as a tool for political manipulation.
Ultimately, the line between awareness and politicizing can be a matter of intention, tone, and the methods employed to promote an issue. It’s essential to critically evaluate the information presented, consider multiple perspectives, and be aware of potential biases when engaging with topics that have political implications.

Accepting the purpose at face value is a mistake. Cultural Marxism evolved because economic Marxism was so thoroughly discredited. They could no longer use the poor worker as a champion, they needed new champions and scapegoats. If you are accepting the purpose for Pride at face value you are being duped.
Isn’t Dad’s Night a type of drag show for kids?
lol !
“Awareness” is code for BULLYING.
Bullying is code for FASCISM.
Welcome to the liberal Utopia.
Keep supporting it.
This is done with COMPLETE disregard for people of other religions, believes and principles. This stuff should be taught by parents instead of public schools. Teaching a sex ideology starting from kindergarten is absurd and disgusting. Person posting this apparently has no kids or is just completely brainwashed, has no principles and has absolutely no consideration for other views other than their own.
