Ridgewood NJ, the Village manager and Mayor appeared at odds in last nights council meeting as to whether or not to allow questions by residents or hold a public comment period during the council interview process of the Hudson Street garage bidders .
The Village Council will be interviewing the four companies who responded to the RFP for the Hudson Street parking garage on February 21, 2018, beginning at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in the Sydney V. Stoldt, Jr. Court Room on the fourth floor of Village Hall, and will also be televised on the Public Access channel. Each company will summarize their proposals and will present their concept plan(s).

So who is really in charge up there on the dais? Shades of Roberta Sonenfeld? Does the Manager work for the Council or does the Council work for the Manager? Last time I looked, the building logo doesn’t read “Heather Mailander Hall.”
Hands down… the massive losses incurred by any garage that is built will dwarf the losses incurred by the Park Mobile and Coin Boy fiascos.

What happens if they allow questions and everyone starts asking “Why a garage?” I guess there are not many in that category as the garage is on its way to be being built.
Because the Council is asking the questions NOT the local social gadflys who keep asking the same stupid questions over and over again. Yes, we know that the earth will shift on its axis, cats and dogs will be sleeping together and MS-13 will be transferring from P town to Ridgewoood forthwith. Your dog and pony show is OVER .
