I heard there was a big dog bite at HealthBarn last week? Can anyone confirm? I heard it was just under the eyes ON the face and it was BAD?

Yes if someone can confirm that would be great. It is not shocking that it happened since habernickel park is now filled with healthbarn private clients. By this I mean children paying healthbarn directly. Not Ridgewood. Yet Roberta calls it a partnership. Yet it is just a tenant/ landlord relationship. No reports of profits from healthbarns business coming to Ridgewood parks and rec. I hope because of her ” so called ” partnership Stacy doesn’t advise her client to sue Ridgewood too!

  1. Healthbarn is not as busy as the neighbors portray it to be. They just liked it better when the parcel was owned by a family and not the town.

It is junk property for the town and should be sold to a developer.

  2. The “dog bite” is an incomplete rumor. Did it even happen? The author throws it out there and then goes on to complain about the busy location. Was the goal just ot start a rumor?

Dogs are allowed at the park. Did a Healthbarn client drive to Ridgewood with a dog or was it a Ridgewood resident’s dog?

  3. It is actually a green acres property where in the by laws it states “no for profit ” business in the park. It is not a junk park it is becoming one because of the business placed there. It is actually a beautiful park that half of it is used for town sports and the smaller parcel is actually used by many many people to take a nice passive walk without constantly being around children and noise. Why can’t the seniors in town have some place to go that is quiet? And of course neighbors are upset with a business being there especially when it does not benefit Ridgewood in any way!! Haven’t these neighbors changed their quality of life enough when it went from a family estate to a very busy baseball and soccer field??? Put yourself in their shoes. All of you!!! I wouldn’t want it !!!!

  4. Its wasn’t a dog bite but rather a goat bite. Watch how many people run with that rumor

  5. The seniors have all day to go everywhere while the noisy children are in school. Sorry the town built a park in your quite little neighborhood. Guess we should have all that noisy fun stuff happen outside of your view.

  6. 9:19. Missing the point. First it is not a rumor unless the village manager LIED at a council meeting when she reported that a healthbarn customer was bit by a dog!!! Are you saying she started a rumor against her friends business? She did not elaborate with details. But unless she lied it is NOT a rumor. Please elaborate on your rumor comment!!!

  7. One word- CONDOS,

  8. It was approved by Green Acres. From northjersey.com

“The village then consulted with a real estate professional to get a recommended baseline bid, posted multiple real estate listings and held open houses to find a new tenant. Before moving forward with a new lease, the village received approval from Green Acres since the land was purchased using grant money.”

  9. So, I guess the “big dog bite” was just a rumor?

  10. Oh the horrors!

A soccer field was installed in your neighborhood! They are supposed to be in other people’s neighborhoods!

I suppose the property should have been purchased for a resident only park without parking?

  11. They’ll be begging for the soccer field when the condos move in…
