I know in New York City on the police cruisers the side windows are bulletproof. There is a kit that they make. Do they all have it I don’t think so. But they do make it. Do you really need that Ridgewood I’m not sure. You need to ask the police officers.

You keep screwing with the cops they know what village employes got caught steal and which one never got charged because they knew someone. I’m not a sniper, so I can’t really say for sure, but I would think it’s just as easy to target the side window of a vehicle regardless of it’s color (or mirroring). The tinting only obscures the occupant, it doesn’t protect them. For the same reason that Police Officers wear bullet-resistant vests rather than “mirrored” ones, if the goal is to protect the person inside the car, the window and door should be bullet-resistant.

False. Polarizing filters work in both natural and artificial light. The filter doesn’t “know” whether the light is artificial or not…it just restricts the viewing angle.

Cops come to work in this town because it’s a cushy job (that we, the taxpayers, fund). We’re not going to *also* fund all sorts of niceties that have absolutely no relevance for the Ridgewood police force (tactical gear for armed invasion, etc.).
Be content that you have $100k + salaries and pensions that will take care of you and yours until you take your last breath (a benefit that the vast majority of the taxpayers don’t get!).
