Reader says, a win for Ridgewood if the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are re elected!

elections_signs_theridgewoodblog

Ms. Knudsen with a silent K has saved our village from a County 90 foot baseball diamond that would be costly and not needed. Valley will expand in Paramus, if there is a garage it won’t be the giant one that the three amigos and their side kick Roberta tried to push down our throats and on and on. What a win for Ridgewood if the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are re elected! Maybe Rurik and the other so called progressives will drop out of the picture for ever.

  1. Yes, yrs, and YES

  2. Are they run anybody…?

    Is Saraceno going to run….??

  3. 2:16- I am sure “they” will put fort willet, Weitz, maybe Delzio. Hang on, its going to be a thrilling ride this spring

  4. No raised Garage ,not one dime of taxpayers money or liability.. .no way..we shall vote out the garage scammers …full stop. Park that thought candidates..Pave some town roads for gods sakes. Roads are a complete disgrace..dangerous as well.Borrow it if you have to
pave..it’s an emergency, due complete neglect.Visitors also can then park and drive on safe and smooth roadways.Towns citizens know where to park even during peak. You are building an unwanted garage for the Apartment and Condo developers .NO THANKS

  5. And four more years will certainly be a win for the Mayor! Imagine the windfall of four more years! #SSS

  6. 4:34 put your pants on and come up out of your dingy basement. We are tired of your useless repetition. Susan Knudsen rises above all your stupid commentary/

  7. Definite repave cottage lot, Walnut Street lot, and reconstruct Hudson Street lot.

  8. While I am not a big fan of a gatage on Hudson, this issue has been around since they took down the Hudson Stree Fire House at least 25 years ago. Not much was done in all these years to spruce up the area and repave/ realign existing parking spots to create more parking. The current council is in a bind and the fact that they have reduced the size and the foot print makes it more acceptable to some of us. If and when the Gateway project is completed, Ridgewood will be a major hub and the garage will be a source of parking for the increase in commuters specifically from Ridgewood and surrounding communities.

  9. The gateway project will be completed after you and I have taken a dirt nap…. This is a big if and when project. Does Xanadu ring any bells?

  10. Sedon would become new mayor, no…?

  11. don’t ya read the news. There will be now Gateway project. Your president Trump will not put up a dime, you will see, just like he did ya a favor with taxes. He doesn’t like Democrat voter states.

  12. What has Sedon doen exactly for Villagers?

  13. 9;39 Mike Sedon was a reporter in town for many years and truly got to know our issues. He was speaking out long before he decided to run. He has served on a myriad of committees and has been extremely active in getting grants and money in the budget for our shade trees. I would vote for him again as he is so honest and doesn’t ever seem to need to blow his own horn or pontificate or preach to us about civility as Paul Aronsohn used to do. He was a disaster and held and still does hold grudges. He still thinks he is in control. There are a few who still do his bidding but to what end I don’t know.

  14. 11:06AM – he may be a gentleman, but what has he done for the village in the capacity of a councilman? Also, if you follow November election and if that defines voter demographics in Ridgewood, can he really win again?

  15. The “Force is Strong” with Mike and Susan! I have faith in our ability to re-elect them. Life is not always predictable but hard work is still something to reckon with.

  16. So he hasn’t really done anything except keep his nose out of trouble and focus on shade trees?

  17. To be a good government official one needs to be honest , hardworking and smart!. Both Mike and Susan have proven that. I don’t know who is running against them so I don’t know their qualifications and unless they have served before in a similar capacity, I still won’t know. I am sticking with a known entity.:the mayor and the deputy mayor.

  18. What are the tangible accomplishments that the community feels the current VC has completed, how are we measuring their success? Garage? CBD improvements? Taxes reduced? Master plan completed? reduce development? Water quality? Better communications?
Improved relations with BOE? Government process improvements? Influencing BC Parks to improve the Duck pond? regular minutes of all village committees and meetings? planting trees for shade tree is nice, but at 2500-3000, that is a lot for a tree? Some of these were done some not ? what is the most important to the community?

  19. 9:20 pm – focus on the subdivision first?

  20. 9.20. I agree with you but I would never vote Aronsohn or any of his cronies. Ideally I would want to see a whole new VC possibly without any lawyers or bankers in it.

  21. 9:20pm the one thing they couldn’t accomplish was to stop your misinformation to the public. Shade trees did not cost 2500 or 3000. Oh brother please stop. 920pm you sounds like that crazy D on facebook. The subdivision one.

  22. NO GARAGE OF ANY SIZE. Punishing new tax laws with likely 10% reduction in property values make it unconscionable to slap a big new debt on taxpayers here.

  23. Agree. I will not vote for any candidate who is pro garage. No garage

  24. 10:08, 2:29 then you can’t vote at all.
Susan and Mike are ONE ticket – Mike was ALWAYS FOR big garage. He voted for EVERY Single Garage vote.
There is no candidate on the ballot, who is against the garage.

  25. They were not against a garage, they were against the original design that was considered too large for the site.

  26. Well I will say one thing, two years in and no garage yet with this new crew. Fingers crossed.
