Reader says Aronsohn regime left to us to disentangle and nullify any progress made because it never corresponded with what was best for the village of Ridgewood

3 amigos in action Ridgewood NJ

Essential to understand that everything proposed and pushed for under the Aronsohn regime, including his years on the council before becoming mayor, and no doubt before he ran in the first place shortly after moving here, was a Lego block in his long game to power. All along he was advised by paid marketing professionals who cared nothing for the populace but were paid to further one person’s career (sound like the Bridgegate trials?).The connections, machinations, and deals could fill a book. It’s left to us to disentangle what happened and to rescind and nullify any progress made in that direction, because it never corresponded with what was best for our village.

  1. Hey, this would make the basis for a good book/movie…
    .
    PLOT:
A small time political operative who’s rise to power was cut short in its infancy by an unexpected catastrophic event (e.g. McGreevy). Then, how his single minded drive to make a political comeback cut a swath of chaos and divisiveness on a charming picturesque town. Finally how the townspeople joined together and rose up to ejected this scourge and slowly rebuilt trust in their government and brought peace and happiness back to the village. End shot, after a series of failed attempts to revive his political career including being muscled out of multiple congressional and senatorial races, we see a broken small time ex-politician sitting in a cubical writing press releases for the newest up and coming politician. (Alternate ending: townspeople fail to eject scourge and lovely village descends into a lifeless, soulless overbuilt city where crime and greed reign – maybe throw in a dystopian zombie apocalypse if you want a box office hit, not just a critical success)

  2. Call Dana Glazer. A documentary for sure.
