Christians are fundamentally defined by their belief in God, not by being against those who do not share their belief . They harbor no ill will towards those who do not believe. Conversely, atheists, while fundamentally defined by not believing in God, for some reason are compelled to attack and belittle those who do believe in God.

(Although I do notice that many (most? all?) atheists are most angry and hateful towards Christians and specifically Catholics, while taking a more lenient approach towards other organized religions, but this is off topic.)
