Reader says , either she is a political hack, or she isn’t. Nothing I can say will cause her to change her stripes.
From what I’ve seen of Ms. Sonenfeld’s background, she may have a left-of-center political perspective, which I regret, but she’s solid in other areas. I might say that people should be more moderate, or at least more thoughtful, in their statements, though, particularly if they are in a position to be asked to take a non-partisan position that obliges them to serve people of all kinds, faithfully and without bias or prejudice. But in the heat of a political campaign, things get said, both in letters-to-the-editor (Sonenfeld) AND in response to a reporter’s question (Lonegan) that could be phrased better and that don’t necessarily prove that the person has a ‘dark heart.’
She looks like nobody’s fool. I like the fact that she lives in Ridgewood. The last VM had split municipal loyalties (which caused problems during the aftermath of a big storm), and a regional political reputation to cultivate that had nothing to do with Ridgewood. I say this even though I might have had more in common with the earlier VM politically.
She will do very well as the new VM.
News sources should offer their help when ever possible. The “very old trouble maker regime Council should make sure she gets off to a good start.
If they can’t handle it, they will be easily replaced at the next election.
“very old trouble maker regime Council” and this Council are angles? Please! I don’t think very old trouble maker regime Council real give a shit one way or another. They have moved on to more important things in their lives. Get over yourself and stop blaming old council members and move forward.
Does this new manager have any municipal experience??
Our previous manager had Municipal experience and a doctorate…
She’s a bully, who couldn’t make it with her consulting business, has no government experience, and now gets her first real job in 12 years
Wow #5, it sounds like you feel threatened by the new VM. Please tell us, why Is that you could possibly feel threatened ? What reasons do you have to make nasty and defamatory posts before she even starts ?
Come on folks please give our new Village Manager a chance. Even if she turns out to be a bully maybe that is what we need to get things done in Village Hall. Hell if she can get the leaves cleared on time she is a hero regardless of whether she is a bully or not.
hey we have many people in town with very little experience that are in upper management. we all know who that is right, what a joke, what was his best friend thinking of.
