It is almost hard to believe that Ridgewood (and neighboring towns) have residents with sub zero brains–at least as far as preventing robbery. What is so hard to understand about the above placard? It is composed of 4 letter words LOCK, TAKE KEYS. If we actually have residents that can’t understand such simple terms, Ridgewood’s education is in even worse trouble than we thought.

  1. I believe it.

  3. Same old tired argument. While it is clear that residents need to take minimal steps to protect their property the bigger issue here is changing our way of life because demographics around us are changing and this is bringing undesired effects. I bet that if some of these thieves are caught and punished property damage would be on a much smaller scale. I long for the days when I could leave my doors unlocked at night and know that my village was a safe heaven. Those times are gone forever.

    1. not in a sanctuary state and its getting worse by the minute

  4. stop by New Brunswick..the pan handlers are in your face at the parking meters while trying to load quarters..

completely un-impeded..I saw a few woman at meters near the train station avenue this week ..who were
forking over dollar bills in fear of being knocked down..

these gypsees moved right down the line of every meter and every person loading a meter with coins or credit cards

RWOOD this is your wake up call

we don’t want to be a transit village …commuter slum..
