Everyone should be focused on the rates required in the future to pay the debt service on the garage. Meter rates will be too high, the majority of retail businesses in town will suffer only a few nearby restaurants will benefit. A pending fiscal disaster, being backstopped by residents.
The 2-1 YES vote did not sufficiently outline the costs of the garage. The NO voters likely considered the costs. The majority of the YES voters thought it was “free”, of would be totally self sustaining.

  1. Tuesday night I pulled into the back entrance of Stop n Shop. I had to wait for 4 postal workers to cross the driveway. Finally they passed and I could make my turn and find a spot. I got out of the car and was surprised to see them all getting into their cars.

Are there different rules for the postal workers ?

  2. Stop & Shop allows some postal workers to use their lot on a daily basis. Not sure if money is changing hands.

  3. I’m done with the CBD.

  4. They are good solid neighbors who earn our supports and thanks every week.

  5. What if I don’t have the capability to pay with my phone? Which I don’t. Well, I guess I won’t be doing any parking/shopping in Ridgewood (not that I really do anyway) but now the deal is sealed
