Jeff- Seriously? The Mayor never came out publicly for the garage? She voted YES for funding it, providing a smaller design could be agreed upon. That’s as public as you get..
Design D was no “compromise”- you said it yourself. The first, non-binding referendum was a sham- you said it yourself. You collected signatures. You encouraged people to vote NO, in the BINDING referendum in which people came forward and voted NO overwhelmingly. People were angry at being deceived.
You ran for council with Mayor Knudsen’s support. If you would try to work together WITH fellow council members, and stop playing politics with Paul Aronson and friends, maybe you could make a difference in this village. Put your massive ego aside for one second and do what you were elected to do…WORK WITH YOUR FELLOW COUNCIL MEMBERS, or resign if you are so miserable. We don’t need you.
Jeff is going to tell you that he never said those things, never signed the petitions, never stood outside of Mt. Carmel collecting signatures. Why? Because he is a liar.
Ruruk Halaby school of public speaking: If you state a lie loudly and publicly and repeatedly it might become the truth. Remember when Halaby said over and over and over that Roberta was fired when in fact she resigned? Now Jeff is saying over and over that he always wanted the big garage and he was not part of stopping the big one from being built. We are smarter than that, Jeff.
Jeffrey Voigt is not just a liar he is a nasty bully who is surrounded by those of the same ilk. Fortunately the list of voigt
stooges is short and dwindling by the minute. Voigt is a liar and a bully. Never forget.
Has Jeff made a printed, or taped, public statement that he never supported the concept of ANY garage or just that he did not support the garagezilla then being offered? My impression at the time of the very first election that Ridgewood voted yes to having a garage. Citizens were astonished by and against the gigantic garage that was then being proposed. (bigger than the lot, butted up against neighboring establishments like The Pearl and overhanging a good portion of Hudson.) The second election was stated as being held to cancel the monster and build a smaller, site contained parking deck. (not totally enclosed as a Garage would be). Where did the original chain of reference get lost? I know somewhere there has to still be the proof of what the actual ideas were.
5:35 – Jeff was completely opposed to the garage. Until he got elected. And then he became like a bull determined to push the gigantic garage through.
8:03 I guess I missed any information reporting that Jeff was now for the huge garage. All I remember being talked about is that he was opposed to letting the county have control and the enormous size but would still consider a smaller parking deck. And all the nasty comments seem to indicate that Jeff was the original Jeckel and Hyde.
