Why on earth doesn’t the Village ask Valley for a payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) is beyond me… all Valley does is present ridiculous expansion plans based on ordinance 3066 -which former Mayor Pfund passed to allow them to apply for exceptions to the Village Master Plan – then waste Villagers time and money, and then sue us. Then they pay their CEO $2 million a year for running a single hospital – whereas the others on that list run hosital systems – and they can’t even pay their fair share of the costs for Villages services including Police, Fire, EMT, sanitation, snow removal, road and pothole repair, etc. Some non-profit that is, they’re a bad neighbor.
They should at least face the same charges as residents do. Residents have to pay after a certain number of fire alarms–how many has Valley had? The police are also there regularly.

Valley is receiving welfare from the town for free. Ridgewood residents are supporting them.
Time for tough love.
Pilot programs are voluntary if the town asks and valley says no the town can’t do anything about it.
so that’s it 9:55pm, just give up? We shouldn’t put the squeeze on Valley to pay up for the services they consumer like the rest of us? I though their Ethics rules stated they try to be fair and honest? Not paying your fair share is “fair and honest”? Further, why would ANYONE in Ridgewood give Valley a dime given all they do with it is pay Audrey $2 million a year to hire nasty lawyers who treat Village residents like idiots and then sue the very Village that originally funded and built Valley. Truly shameless.
would be nice to see Gwenn use her connection with Valley to get them to pay up and work their board to drop the ridiculous lawsuit that they all should be ashamed to be associated with. Dick Bolger should be ashamed of Audrey’s greed.
