Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday night, October 6, the Village Council is scheduled to award contracts totaling $135k for repairs to the artificial turf at Maple Park ($113k) and natural grass at Vets Field ($22k).  These expenses will NOT be covered by insurance.

Repairs to fields owned by the Ridgewood Board of Education cost approximately $153k.  Reportedly, all expenses for Board of Education owned fields will be covered by insurance, minus a $50k deductible.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Brook keeps on costing Ridgewood taxpayers more and more.  It’s high time for a sensible remediation plan to be put in place.  In fact, it’s past time for such a plan.

  1. Screwed again!

  2. Will the sports groups be ponying up any funds to help?

  3. Rip up the turf bring in topsoil put grassy down the story. This is what you got you don’t like it let the sports groups pay for all the turf fields then that’s all. What are we going to do keep on spending this kind of money every time there’s a storm from mother nature.

  4. Ask Phil Murphy for the money! Haha!
You will be met by silence from the arrogant, inept “declare an emergency after 13 hours” governor.

    Vote him out!

  5. How many times are we going to repair these fields. This is getting to be ridiculous. Hey obviously they have the money.

  6. No worries.
We will obliviously pay, and smile
    because we are…
    RICH and STUPID
