Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of QUINN T. DICKSON (DOB: 8/24/1997; single; retail clerk) of 236 Westervelt Lane, Mahwah, New Jersey on child pornography and child endangerment charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of QUINN T. DICKSON during the course of a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that DICKSON used the Internet to view, download, and possess approximately 800 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children. Furthermore, DICKSON shared digital files via the Internet depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children.
The investigation also revealed that DICKSON used social media to make contact with children, some of whom were younger than 13 years of age, and engage them in sexually explicit conversations. During such online chats, DICKSON instructed two different children to produce and send him sexually explicit photos and/or videos.
As a result of the investigation, QUINN T. DICKSON was arrested on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Paramus, New Jersey, and charged with one count of first-degree production of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(3); one count of second-degree distribution of child pornography, N.J.S.A 2C:24-4b(5)(a)(i); one count of third-degree possession of child pornography greater than 100 Files, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(b)5(b); and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). DICKSON was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
This investigation, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, is continuing. Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Mahwah Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Lyndhurst Police Department, Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, Ramsey Police Department and Rochelle Park Police Department which participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
