Ridgewood NJ, after Ben & Jerry’s said it was going to stop selling its ice cream in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and contested east Jerusalem, saying the sales in the territories sought by the Palestinians are “inconsistent with our values.”

The anti-Semitic stance has raised the ire of many . GOP Gubernatorial hopeful Jack Ciattarelli said in a post on Facebook ,” In response to Ben & Jerry’s decision to stop selling their products in parts of Israel, the Ciattarelli household will no longer be buying their ice cream or products.`

It apparently raised the ire of a small group of local Israel supporters who staged a protest in front of the Ridgewood Ben & Jerry’s Sunday afternoon who did not share Ben & Jerry’s anti-Semitic “values”.

  3. Can someone explain to me how being critical of Israeli policies automatically means you’re anti-semetic?

  4. Enough is enough. Now we all have to be careful of our words. Everyone of us has said something that someone didn’t like. Get over it, isnt there something more important to worry about??. Like world peace, love one another without violence, gun control. Look around I’m quite sure there is something else you can ffnd to protest about.

  9. The small business owner had, and continues to have, an opportunity to state their position and distance themselves from B & J corporate if they so chose. They haven’t done that…so others have peacefully let the owner know their position.

    Peace, Love, and Antisemitism

  13. The individual stores are owned by small businesses, who pay for the franchises from B&J/Unilever.

  16. Yet it is perfectly fine, supported and even advocated by the self-proclaimed elitists to protest, or even riot and destroy property, against those who don’t support the liberal and progressive agendas. This country is doomed unless conservatives take serious action and get more involved in education and media.

  17. personally, I agree with this stance of B and J’s and I am Jewish. I am not against peaceful protests, but do not agree with this one. Just because B and J’s support the rights of Palestinian s doesn’t mean they are anti Semitic. This is a common misrepresentation of many Jews who “stand with Israel” I’m proud of my Jewish heritage but I believe in social justice for all.

  18. Disagreeing with the policies of the government of Israel does not make a person or corporation anti-Semitic.

  20. Regarding, “Disagreeing with the policies of the government of Israel does not make a person or corporation anti-Semitic.” – so you agree then that being against BLM policies does not make one a racist? Good, great to hear

  21. Personally, I agree with this stance because I’m a self hating
Liberal Jew from Ridgewood and I want it both ways.
But don’t get me wrong I’m all for free speech and protest.
