  1. Congratulations to Mary and Saurabh.

    1. Not over yet! Word on the street is Mike Lembo has petitioned for a change of rule to accommodate four Board members from 11.23.

      1. So he really is a sore loser and manipulator. What a pathetic and desperate attempt to stay relative. Remember this the next time another DelVecchio backed candidate runs again.

      2. He can petition all he wants to, but by law, any expansion of the board must be approved by Ridgewood’s voters.

Section 18A:12-12 – Increase or reduction in membership; resolution; submission of question

If the board of any district shall determine by resolution that it is for the best interest of the schools that the membership of the board shall be increased from whatever number of members then composes it to five, seven or nine members, or reduced from said number to seven, five or three members, the question of such increase or reduction shall be submitted to the voters of the district at the next annual school election and the question shall be stated in the notice of the election.

        N.J.S. § 18A:12-12

  2. It is interesting to note that the two candidates who allegedly used private group mailing lists inappropriately both lost. Let that be a lesson to future candidates.

  3. So the union was able get at least one of their puppets in this election. They already had two there.

Get ready for the union and NJEA to drive the agenda of the schools now.

  4. Somehow Lembo finished 4th

    1. Word from the parking lot says he finished first.

      1. the parking garage is empty

  5. Spectacular win for Dani and Village of Ridgewood! Dani prevailed all on his own without special interest groups.

    1. Spectacular?

Cost a lot of $$ for that win.

Always find it strange when lots of $$ is spent to win a volunteer position.

      1. Yes, but Dani did not have any special interest backing or $$ . . .

      2. Institutional campaign of misinformation is a form of money too! When Union spends money to get their puppets elected that’s okay with you, but when the other candidates spend money , that’s a problem??

      3. Dani squeaked a second place finish- barely.

    2. Spectacular!? That dude was all over my FB feed more than Elon Musk lol

  6. I wonder how Micale would have done without the REA backing and pushing her for their sole benefit.

    1. Micale would have lost and those votes would have gone to Lembo if Micale and the Union did not spread the fake news of turnover.

  7. The divide between parents and BOE trustees will grow and become obvious to all.

  8. This is a wonderful outcome. We got rid of Lembo, whose ongoing bullying and unethical behavior was causing so much trouble. We retained Dani who is the epitome of hard work, thoughtful deliberation, and informed decisions along with polite and appropriate demeanor. And we got a new person. I would have preferred that we did not get a union choice, but Mary does seem smart and dedicated so let’s hope for the best with her.

  9. RW is a tribal place. The only way Julie M would get this close to a real contributor like Dani is her jamboree cohort campaigning for her. Along same lines, a neighbor petitioned the whole neighborhood to vote for Weitz because he was sure Weitz is a good guy and guess what, 99% of the 50 something families did that. Without even blinking to think or understand what this guy would bring to the table.
    It’s hopeless.
