  1. Too bad. They started it. Those people are trouble-makers and end up costing this town with their big mouths.

  2. He said he pulled them down and redacted the personal email addresses and phone numbers. he may be crazy but he is not that delusional.

  3. “Voigt has been charged with disorderly persons misdemeanor, and if convicted could face a maximum penalty of $500 and up to 30 days in jail. ”

    Wowza!!!
I still feel disgusted that I campaigned for him and had his sign in my front yard.

  4. #LyingPoliticiansMatter

  5. 9:18, this is state vs voigt. Why would it cost the town money? Why do all voigt/aronsohn supporters twist the facts all the times?

  6. 6:44 if nothing else it costs the town in negative publicity and in time. But if you want to talk dollars and cents the usual peanut gallery put on a full court press to defeat the parking garage AFTER money was invested on plans, surveys, etc. That’s a waste of money in my opinion because many people are influenced by soundbites without being fully informed. Why was the OPRA request even necessary by a private citizen? Shouldn’t it have been handled by the Mayor, VC and VM? I didn’t vote for Voigt but some people need to get a hobby. Most of us DO NOT CARE and would rather see the council focus on issues important to the town. If Voigt needs a lawyer who pays for that? People need to ask themselves if they are acting responsibly in the best interest of Ridgewood, or just getting their jollies at our expense.

  7. Voight is getting what he deserves. You can’t act like a bull in a china shop and not expect to be restrained. He victimized residents, the court agreed…best use of tax payers dollars. I applaud these brave residents for taking a stand and correctly using the justice system. BRAVO!

  8. 9:00 – Take a Finance 101 class and learn about a concept called sunk costs.

You logic is how taxpayers get fleeced. Project cost is initially law-balled, some money is quickly spent and then cost magically doubles and we are still supposed to continue because we already ‘spent some money.’

  9. Those funding Voight’s legal fees should think twice. Everything is traceable.

  10. 9:18am 7/17 aka 9am 7/18 very ignorant comments. The open public records act is designed for a transparent government. Transparency so the public has access to otherwise hidden information. Anyone has the right to ask for public documents to determine if government officials are doing their job. You ignored voights criminal and immoral act and decided to attack members of the public for doing something legal. Are you seriously blaming victims for the illegal act of a crazy elected official? If the village attorney is defending Voight then it’s costing us money. Is the village attorney defending voight? Residents should demand our tax dollars not be used for voight criminal defense.
had aVoight sign on my front lawn. Disgusted by him.

  11. He didn’t pull anything down quickly. In fact, responded to commenters who warned him it was foolish.
He’s a menace and he’s completely unraveling in this position. He needs to step aside for his own health.

  12. He’s right though – the friends and supporters of the Mayor are a well organized cabal that is shamelessly destroying our Village. They are colluding to attack anyone that would question the shady dealings at Village Hall.

    1. guess it time for you and your friends to move back to Jersey and Union city where you will feel more comfortable

    2. the judge doesn’t see it that way lol

  13. James, again Anne, Boyd, Lorraine, etc all are just bullies trying to intimidate anyone who is rightly calling out the disgusting conflicts created by the Council majority… the Mayor will be investigated, and her cronies will be implicated.
